Trust

‘I don’t know if I can trust Jesus after this?’

It is funny how easily if we let disappointment come in and fester, suddenly one finds oneself in a position of trusting Jesus with our Salvation but holding him at arm’s length with the other parts of our life. Coming to the conclusion that maybe he isn’t 100% trustworthy? It is usually a slow process where disappointment turns into apathy, lies start to make their way in and fester, leading to hopelessness and then all of a sudden there is a bitterness crouching in your heart that you had never intentionally invited. Then at times when provoked it comes out to bite.

The antidote to this is surrender. Laying down those questions and feelings of betrayal at the thrown of grace and giving over your need to understand for now, so that you can sit in his peace.

The cross is our key, I dare you to research the medical perspective of what the beatings and crucifixion did to Jesus’s body. And he faced this in the deepest isolation, as God turned his back on him. Try imagining Jesus hanging there, his beautiful yet harrowing eyes look into yours, he invites you, ‘What more shall I do to prove that you can count on me? Do you trust me?”  

As we learn that his ways are not our ways and his thoughts not our thoughts, the reality that He really is the most trustworthy and capable One, sets a seed in our heart. And we can wholeheartedly say ‘I TRUST JESUS!’  the one who overcame as in turn we set forth to overcome!

There is a power in faith for things yet unseen and a beauty in the unity of the saints coming together to put a stake in the ground pledging their allegiance to the lion who died as a lamb. We are so excited to be creating a new design ‘Trust’ which will feature the soundwaves of 1000 saints joining in with ONE cry. ‘WE TRUST JESUS!’
